Setting Board Sizes

This section is where you specify the sizes of the boards you will use for your scaffold. You can select sizes for floor boards, toeboards, and solepads. You can also change the width of your board from the default width of 225 mm. If you’ve set the Calculation Method for Sizes in the Main Setup screen to Free Run Sizes, ScaffPro will select the exact size for the boards. If you have set the Calculation Method to a different option, ScaffPro will select your board sizes to the nearest practical size according to the Set Sizes Table.

To set up the board sizes of your scaffolds, do the following:

1. From the Main page, press F7 or click on the Boards button in the Optional Setup For Scaffolding Specialists Only! section.
   

The Configure Your Boards screen displays.



2. Click on the appropriate checkbox(es) for the options you want for the estimations:

• Free Sizes (No Fixed Size)
• Intermediate Transom By Nodes Method
• No Toeboards
• No Soleboards

     3.  Enter values for the following parameters:

• Floor Board Length
• Board Widths
• Gross No. of Boarded Lifts
• Toeboards (Longer Size) – in meters
• Toeboards (Shorter Size) – in meters
• Length of Soleboards – in meters

     4.  Change any of the following default data:

• Distance Between Supports – default value is 1.3 m.
• Board thickness – default value is 50 mm.
• Board E.I. Strength – default value is 30000.
• Board Overhang – default value is 100 mm.
