Setting Bracing Sizes
This section is where you specify the type and spacing or frequency of the braces in your scaffold.
To set up the tube sizes of your scaffolds, do the following:
- From the Main page, press F8 or click on the Braces button in the
Optional Setup For Scaffolding Specialists Only! section. - Enter your options for the Façade or Longitudinal Braces:
The Braces Setup screen displays.
- First, select whether you want:
- No façade Brace
- Straight face Brace
- Zigzag Brace
b. Next, enter your values for the following parameters:
- Front Bays – enter the number of front bays. If this field is left blank, ScaffPro will compute an appropriate number of bays by skipping every 2nd or 3rd bay. This option is grayed out for No Façade Brace and Straight Face Brace.
- Side Standards – enter the number of face braces to count based on the number of standards viewed from the side.
- Number of Lifts – this option is grayed out.
c. Finally, click on the check box if you want to Add Underslung Transoms on Doubles for Façade Brace at Boarded Lifts. 3. Enter your options for the Ledger or Transverse Braces:
First, select whether you want:
- No Ledger Brace
- Single Across Brace
- Zigzag Brace
b. Next, enter your values for the following parameters:
- Front Standards – enter the number of front standards. If this field is left blank, ScaffPro will compute an appropriate number of bays by skipping every 2nd or 3rd bay. This option is grayed out for No Ledger Brace and Single Across Brace.
- Side Bays – enter the number of ledger braces to count based on the number of bays viewed from the side.
- Number of Lifts – this option is grayed out.

Enter your options for the Plan Braces:. First, select whether you want:a
- No Ledger Brace
- Single Across Brace
- Zigzag Brace
b. Next, enter your values for the following parameters:
- Front Bays – enter the number of front bays. If this field is left blank, ScaffPro will compute an appropriate number of bays by skipping every 2nd or 3rd bay.
- Side Bays – enter the number of ledger braces to count based on the number of bays viewed from the side. If this field is left blank, ScaffPro will compute an appropriate number of bays by skipping every 2nd or 3rd bay.
- Number of Lifts – enter the number of lifts where zigzag plan braces will be located. If left blank, ScaffPro will compute an appropriate number of lifts depending on the heights.
